The Site Creation tool is quite simple and self explanatory. You can't really stray from the preformed layout of the page, though. If you use the site creation tool and want it to be the default pages when someone puts in your domain name, you will need to create your site and then go back into the Site Creation tool area in your admin suite and click on the button to make it the default for your domain. If you ever decide to stop using it, you will need to remove it as default.
