Publishing Your Web Site

Note: We can not provide technical support for third party programs. Although we will give it our best, we are just not familiar with all the uploading programs that are used out there. Please be patient if we do not know your program and you need help. We can give you the information necessary to upload to your server, but if you still need more help, we may have to refer you to your program's company website/support. Please check your manuals and help files also.

Help, my home page isn't showing up!!!
OR - Help I am forbidden to view my site!!
If our white "Welcome to domainname.com!" page, index.html, has not been replaced by another index.html page, then that will come up as your default page. You will need to rename your home page to be named index.html. Or if your page has one of the following filenames, you can just delete the existing index.html and your page will show up.

default.htm
index.phtml
index.pht
index.cgi
index.shtml
index.html
welcome.cgi
welcome.html
index.htm

Just delete the index.html file and anything after it in this list will then come up automatically. Notice that "home.html" is NOT on the list and so will not show up as your home page. You would need to rename it.

If you are getting the "Forbidden" error when putting in your domain name, you need to make sure that your main page is named one of the above filenames.
