Hosting Support FAQ Topic #2 - Publishing Your Website

Publishing Your Website using Microsoft FrontPage

Before you upload - make sure that you have installed FrontPage extensions for your site first! You do that by clicking on the MS FrontPage icon in the admin suite and clicking on "install FrontPage extensions" button.  Wait 10 minutes until it says that the extensions are installed in that section.

Publishing with FrontPage 2000:

1. Open up FrontPage 2000 and open the web that you want to publish.

2. Go up to the "File" menu and drop it down to "Publish Web"

3. In the box that pops up, type in your domain address. (http://www.yourdomain.com)

4. It will then ask you for your username and password and it will upload your files. It will notify you with a pop up window when it is through.

Publishing with FrontPage 98:

1. Open up FrontPage 98 and open your web that you want to upload.  Make sure that the editor is closed and you are looking at your web in the FrontPage explorer.

2. Click on the "Publish" button.  Where it asks for the publish location, type in http://yourdomain.ext or IP address if your domain name isn't on our servers yet. Then it will look for it and prompt you for your username and password.

3. It will then upload your files. I don't think that it notifies you when your pages are through, but the little icon in the top right hand corner will stop moving.
